The YMCA Saxony
... is a member of the YMCA of Germany, the greatest non- partisan and independent denominational christian association in Germany. YMCA Saxony celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2003.
Following the "Paris Basis" we put emphasis on preaching, education, counselling and voluntary work .
The YMCA of Saxony has got about 1.450 members in more than 30 branches. Approximately 24,000 people participate in its events a year.
An international partnership with the Christian Youth Organization "Youth Alive Ministries", Soweto / South Africa has been existing since autumn 2006.
The YMCA is financially supported by its friends because membership fees and grants are not enough to do the job. In the future the Association is increasingly depending on the support of friends sustaining its work through prayers and gifts.
